Hi Dave,
After going through the thread, it looks like you have a faulty CD. Though this doesn't happen very often, it did happened 'once in a blue moon'. You might be eligible for replacement as the setup program fails to install. For more info, kindly go to the following link: http://www.microsoft.com/learning/Books/faq/default.asp The answer to the first question under the CD sub-header, 'How do I replace a broken or lost CD-ROM?' should clarify the procedure of getting a replacement.
