Your suggestion please

Hello there

I have Italian certificate as a programmer. Moreover, I have got MCSD
certification and I have worked with VB6, Microsoft SQL Server, PL/SQL for 3
and a half years. I presently want to migrate to the US to join my wife.

Can any body suggest to me as to whether or not I need a degree in IT to get
a job in the States. What do you think I can get for a pay considering the
little I have got
