Hi. I have 2 problems… (Actually it’s 1 and the other is an installation I need to find
Ok lets start
I had an installation of winXP on my pc and recently tried to update it from an other XP disk which contains SP1 (Labeled ”Ms Windows XP Service pack 1). Anyway, after the installation I tried to boot XP normally but after the first boot screen (Microsoft windows Xp professional… [not the one with the users and stuff…] ), crashed and forced the pc to restart
I think the problem is something with styleXP (because I had changed the login screen
But before I didn’t had this problem
Anyway I installed a new windows in a new partition and tried from there to make some programs work…. I tried copying some of the … dlls in system32 folder … but the programs I needed didn’t work… i tried reinstalling some of them (only the ones that I had the disks) and when I open some of them an error comes up saying that I need MSXML4 (“verify that MSXML4 is installed”
So the help I need is
1. a way to fix my old windows or copy the settings and registry… (or a way to use the files and transfer wizard without having to run the OS
2. the url to download the MSXML4 codec’
