Default slowed computer

I have an Acer Aspire computer with a pent 4 and 246 RAM. I installed aol messenger, yahooo messanger, msn messenger( cause I knew people who use them)also I installed Kazaa and downloaded about 300 songs. I also installed Kadak digital camera software and download ALOT of pictures needless to say the computer finally stopped moving. I then burned all the songs and pictures to CD and deleted them( even did the disk clean up and defreg) helped alittle but still slower than a glacier, so uninstalled all the messnger expect AOL and it runs better but still slow bringing up programs. What should I do now? stuck.....

If you can help please email me at

Most definetly remove KAZAA, I used to use this when it
first came out, but it is completing infested with
adware, spyware, viruses, and trojan horses. I seen on
Techlive on Techtv th other night that they estimated
about 81% of all files that you download from Kazaa have
some sort of what I said previously attached to them.
Remove Kazaa and run a virus scan on you pc. A better peer
to peer file sharing program is WINMX or Edonkey.

If you don't have anything too important on the system, try a clea
install of the OS and install the minimal amount of applications, tha
should reduce the amount of lag you recieve in application run times

You will have to pay the RIAA one dollar per song that you illegally
downloaded and then they will set your computer free.

see www.soundbytes.org Nick's security tango list.
http://www.soundbytes.org/tango.php Run it in the sequence presented.
It stinger gets the known virii that shut off virus protection.
Adaware and Spybot combined do a pretty good job on spyware. I assume
you have a current antivirus program. You may want to add a trojan
scanner to your machine. Once clean you can leave some of this stuff
enabled for active protection or just scan once in a while. I scan
occasionally and am failry carefull about looking at what I am
opening. I have had few problems that way but always find some junk.
Some of the adaware cannot be avoided. You might consider changing to
Firefox for browsing as it does not let a lot of the bad stuff
download or run.

have fun, be carefull
