Virtual PC - network service driver

I keep getting this message " The Virtual Machine Network Services driver has failed to install. After installation please reboot your machine and run install.bat located under the "utility" directory of the microsoft Virtual PC installation directory. The virtual machine network services drive will only be loaded if an ethernet or wirless network adapter is present in your phyiscal computer."

I have tried this but no avail, it puts the service in but has no details against the driver, version etc..

Any help would be appreciated.
