Yep i tried two different brands one cheap one expensive and the expensive ones are better. I would think that for the magority of people they would not make much of a difference. But in my case enough of difference to switch to them and go and buy another set for my DVD player I know your saying NOOOO your lying and you probably think their is a difference when their aint. Or trying to justify the price you paid for them. Well i actally got them for my new component DVD player. And they work very very well for that. But then i decided to try them on MY HTPC. The HTPC is connected to my HD 720p,1080I 86cm Widescreen TV. I use that as my ET centre. Its got a HD tunercard installed as well. Anways both the component cables are at the back of the pc so i can unplug and replug them in for comparasion. Nice and quick. The expensive cables picture is just sharper, brighter, clearer and more defined. iam using a TV HD 1080ti rip of a show called Bikini Destionations Fantasy. It has lots of Nude chicks and close ups of tits and arse. Great testing material Anyways as soon as i tried the new cables i saw the difference. I though the pictures were fantastic with the OLD cables but these are even better. What i can't figure out is why. I hear all this **** about the cables being crap and a rip off. I suppose the price i paid in my thoughts i would concider it a rip off. But from the best picture i can get with my setup before i buy a SED tv. I cocider it money well spent. I suppose if you have the high end TV and A HTPC with component out. High quality cables actually do make a difference. But with the normal Joe with SD or Rear Project or Plasma OR even LCD its not worth it. Any thoughts on this please reply. /pS iam not telling you what brand either. And it aint the brand you think iam talking about. Its a brand i have never heard about. But the guy at the shop said they were high quality. And we allways believe the sales guy. Well at a hi fi shop iam more inclined to anys. You realy have to turn off your Shitametre when buying hifi stuff Thanks. Alyssa |

Probably the most important thing is the cable construction, ie Sheilding,
quality of connecters, cable length (longer the cable the better it needs to be made to prevent signal loss) etc. If you found some that seem decent then say the Name of em for others. Mentioning a brand isnt a crime and maybe you'll be helping someone else just learning Bratboy |
