WinRAR can view the ISO file but for disk image created with virtual
recorder, I dunno.

There was an old program called IsoBuster that worked well for this
(definitely works on Nero 5 images, haven't tried it recently). You can
find it here: http://www.isobuster.com/

Havn't done it in a while but I think even nero itself can load/run/test an
img file without burning

If it's an .IMG file, rename it to .ISO, then mount it in daemon.

Why rename it to .ISO ?

Deamon Tools accepts .IMG files along with quite a few other formats.

Ah now I recall, in nero the app is Image Drive. You run it and load image
and it shows as a new drive in my computer

I am not impmon, but I may be able to offer something useful. I
believe that Nero uses proprietary formats for its data.

Try importing the DVD content with DVD Decrypter and see what happens.

maybe i have an older version, but my Daemon Tools doesn't accept/list
..IMG, however if i rename an .IMG to .ISO, it mounts it fine.
