superstardom and Lana Turner between her performances in two of her
greatest films, the underappreciated Peyton Place and Douglas Sirk's
remake of Imitation of Life. But the real reason to watch this film is

CROMARTIE HIGH SCHOOL: MOUNT ROCKMORE (VOLUME 4) (reviewed by Dan

"To the extent that one can discern an organizational principle behind
Cromartie High School's episodes, it would be the hard juxtaposition of
clashing styles of humor: the fiercely intelligent with the utterly
inane; the incisively self-aware with juvenile silliness. In that way,
it is perhaps an Eastern kin of Monty Python's Flying Circus."

FUGITIVE HUNTER (reviewed by David Johnson, overall score 76/100):
"Instead of gangsters or rogue cops or lone men fighting for justice,
the protagonists in Fugitive Hunter are bail bondsmen-for-hire. Yeah, it
doesn't sound as sexy as 'unhinged loose cannon ex-MI6 agent,' but it's
different and surprisingly un-suckariffic."

"The robust score playing over the opening credits seems to be heralding
an epic costume drama; the first shots set in expansive royal palaces
appear to be setting the scene for an extravagant period piece. But in
the end, Night Sun ends up being neither of these things."

SPOOKLEY THE SQUARE PUMPKIN (reviewed by David Johnson, overall

"There's not much heavy-lifting with this film. It's short and to the
point, and while the humor isn't of the super-clever ilk that a studio
like Pixar is known for, the kids to whom the film is geared should
certainly get a kick out of it."
