I'm burning a dvd for a show that was two hours and twenty minutes
long. I have double layer dvds, a recent double layer burner, a Sony 720, and the OEM dvd burning program Nero Express. Client tells me that the test dvd did not play 'til the end. The burning software told me that the burn was successful. Unfortunately, the client has not returned the dvd to me so that I can look at it. Any guesses what the problem might be? Client's DVD player? I have to make 50 of these so I have to be sure of compatability. 2,8 XP machine 1 gig memory. P.C. Ford |

Should have added that the discs were Memorex DVD+DL (Ritek) Evidently these are know for troubles on the 2nd layer. Or that's what I gather from vcdhelp.com Comments? |

Dual Layer discs are the problem...stop using them. They won't work in 99%
of the DVD players out there. "P.C. Ford" <> wrote in message news:... > I'm burning a dvd for a show that was two hours and twenty minutes > long. Stop using DL discs at once, particularly Ritek DL.

I looked at the project and it looks like I will have to do some work on the menu/chapters if I burn to a single layer disc. I'll do that tomorrow. Sigh. Got the DLs because I wanted top quality. Did not know the issues with DL discs. |
