Hi,
I have a Epson R210 which is the same as the R310. It is a great printer but when I print CD's I get this problem. With the Cd in the tray, it does not go automatically, until I push it slightly. I have checked the small clear plastic at the end of the tray and they are all straight and there is no blockage in the rollers. Is there a way I can tweak the insert mechanism to have it move in automatically ? Also when it is finished, it does not eject all the way out either. It ejects enough to be free but then stops and the red light flashes. So every time I finish a CD print I have to go thru this red light stuff. Any elp here? Thanks Rock Rock |

The Epson feed mechanism leaves a lot to be desired. Even printing a simple page often takes me several tries before it cooperates. And printing on discs is always an adventure too, as you said. I don't think there's much you can do about it, assuming it's out of warranty. It's just a poor design. -- "I reckon what you is wanting to know is how come me had killed somebody so I reckon I'll start at the front and tell ye." Now playing: "Audioslave - Shadow on the Sun" |
