Today, DVD Verdict posted reviews of ALIEN PLANET, CLEOPATRA 2525: THE
COMPLETE SERIES, THE DORIS DAY SHOW: SEASON ONE, LITTLE BRITAIN: THE COMPLETE FIRST SERIES, MIKE HAMMER, PRIVATE EYE: THE COMPLETE SERIES, THE OUTER LIMITS: THE NEW SERIES (ALIENS AMONG US, DEATH AND BEYOND, FANTASTIC ANDROIDS AND ROBOTS, MUTATION AND TRANSFORMATION, SEX AND SCIENCE FICTION, TIME TRAVEL AND INFINITY), QUINCY: SEASONS ONE AND TWO, and UNDECLARED: THE COMPLETE SERIES: ALIEN PLANET (reviewed by Mac McEntire, overall score 80/100): "When the movie cuts to a biologist explaining how the creature evolved to be that way and how it is able to maintain its balance while running at great speeds, that's when I want to stand up on my couch and yell at the screen, 'It isn't real!'" FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/alienplanet.php CLEOPATRA 2525: THE COMPLETE SERIES (reviewed by David Johnson, overall score 68/100): "It had the production values of Batman and Robin, the skin of Baywatch, and the narrative coherence of a bowl of Fruity Pebbles." FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/cleopatra2525.php THE DORIS DAY SHOW: SEASON ONE (reviewed by Amanda DeWees, overall score 77/100): "To wrap up the comparison between the two shows, I'd say that The Doris Day Show is ideal for audiences who thought that The Andy Griffith Show was too zany and fast-paced." FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/do...howseason1.php LITTLE BRITAIN: THE COMPLETE FIRST SERIES (reviewed by Joel Pearce, overall score 97/100): "Wickedly funny, sharply satirical, and gleefully offensive, Little Britain may be one of the funniest sketch comedy series of all time." FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/li...ainseries1.php MIKE HAMMER, PRIVATE EYE: THE COMPLETE SERIES (reviewed by Adam Arseneau, overall score 55/100): "Hammer seems incapable of walking down the street without getting jumped by anonymous pipe-wielding thugs or getting shot at by fedora- wearing baddies. This seems to happen in every episode, sometimes multiple times. Then, after 45 minutes of this garbage, Hammer suddenly makes Sherlock Holmes-esque feats of nonsensical deduction, like observing some carpet fiber during the first 30 seconds of the episode and proving that some obscure character we met in passing is the bad guy. Scooby-Doo was a better detective than this guy." FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/mikehammer.php THE OUTER LIMITS: THE NEW SERIES (ALIENS AMONG US, DEATH AND BEYOND, FANTASTIC ANDROIDS AND ROBOTS, MUTATION AND TRANSFORMATION, SEX AND SCIENCE FICTION, TIME TRAVEL AND INFINITY) (reviewed by David Johnson, overall score 83/100): "There's an awful lot of science fiction to be had here. Sure, not all episodes are classics, but there is enough good stuff to satiate fans of the series and fans of creative storytelling." FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/ou...snewseries.php QUINCY: SEASONS ONE AND TWO (reviewed by Paul Corupe, overall score 89/100): "Quincy holds up extremely well. The forensics may seem a little primitive compared to modern police procedural TV shows, but with smartly- scripted episodes and commendable performances, you'll barely notice." FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/qu...asons1and2.php UNDECLARED: THE COMPLETE SERIES (reviewed by Diane Wild, overall score 92/100): "By the end of the 17 episodes, most of these characters feel like friends, and their world of insecurity and tentative connections was one I was sad to leave behind."
