It seems to me that the grit in the toothpaste can't compare to that of the
grit in polishing compound or sandpaper supplied by JFJ Disc Repair.

I think it's equivalent to #400 sandpaper which you can pick up at the
local hardware store.

Try the #400 or #500 sandpaper on your DVD and let us know how it works?
