Pre-Release Review: Four Brothers (2005)

An early cut of this film was great. My companion agreed that it was a
very good movie. That cut not only succeeded in the genre of
crime/thriller/action movie (a genre I tend to enjoy), but the
characters/relationships and the Brothers' pursuit of truth and

I have just seen the short trailer airing on TV and the first thing
that came to mind was "The Sons of Katie Elder"

I'm still goggling at the scene of Markymark pulling out his piece at
the basketball game. If he'd done that in real Detroit, it would've
looked like the scene in "Marathon Man" when William Devane shows the
bangers his gun--and they show him theirs. Except that Marky would look
like a swiss cheese template.
