DARK SHADOWS: DVD COLLECTION NINETEEN (reviewed by Brett Cullum, overall
score 93/100):
"The challenge of any soap opera is to lure in new viewers while still
retaining the old ones. Dark Shadows had a hard time with this, because
they shifted plots quickly, and it was daunting for new viewers to
access the complicated relationships and backstories."

THE DEAD ZONE: THE COMPLETE THIRD SEASON (reviewed by Eric Profancik,
overall score 80/100):
"It's boring; it's average; it's just there. The wonder and charm of the
first two (and a half) seasons is missing from most of this year."

ER: THE COMPLETE THIRD SEASON (reviewed by Diane Wild, overall
score 93/100):
"Season Three was ER near the top of its game, engrossing and addictive,
with a great blend of medical and personal chaos mixed with the
occasional playful respite. It erred on the side of soapiness, but
generally pulled itself back from the brink with effective and affecting
medical dramas."

LA FEMME NIKITA: THE COMPLETE SECOND SEASON (reviewed by David
Gutierrez, overall score 97/100):
"La Femme Nikita is a series I regret missing all these years. I thought
it was hokey and cheap -- instead it is a great action series with a
terrific cast (except for Dupuis). While at times repetitive, La Femme
Nikita is deserving of greater respect. I feel I just missed the party."

OZ: THE COMPLETE FOURTH SEASON (reviewed by David Gutierrez, overall
score 95/100):
"As Fontana says in his commentary, if you can't hack watching it,
then don't."

RICHARD JENI: A BIG STEAMING PILE OF ME (reviewed by Patrick Naugle,
overall score 68/100):
"Maybe I had an off night, but nothing stuck with me after watching this
show. I didn't find myself laughing very often and, though Jeni appears
to be a talented man, his wit isn't special enough (at least in this HBO
special) to make him someone I'd need to revisit."

SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE: THE BEST OF JON LOVITZ (reviewed by Lacey Worrell,
overall score 65/100):
"In any given episode of the television show, only about 20-30 minutes
are really worth watching; these DVDs cull the most memorable characters
into a nice package. Lovitz, however, as one of the most recognizable
faces from the show, deserved better. This lackluster collection does
not do him justice."

TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL: THE COMPLETE SECOND SEASON (reviewed by Maurice
Cobbs, overall score 88/100):
"Where Season One served up a dose of refreshingly adult drama, Season
Two tends more toward melodrama; where Season One was rough but honest,
Season Two is more polished but far too earnest."

TRADING SPACES: GREAT KITCHEN DESIGNS AND MORE (reviewed by Diane Wild,
overall score 83/100):
"However, if you see the homeowners talking about how they hate yellow
in the introductory segment of the show, and if they are saddled with
her as their designer, it's a sure bet that she'll create the yellowest
room that ever yellowed."

UNSOLVED MYSTERIES: BIZARRE MURDERS (reviewed by David Gutierrez,
overall score 86/100):
"One thing I've always wondered is how many segment actors have been
nabbed in cases of mistaken identity."

WHAT'S NEW SCOOBY DOO?: SPORTS SPOOKTACULAR (VOLUME 5) (reviewed by
Lacey Worrell, overall score 85/100):
"This collection is one of the strongest in the What's New Scooby Doo?
releases, given its engrossing stories and surprisingly strong writing.
The ghosts, especially in 'The Unnatural' and 'Diamonds are a Ghoul's
Best Friend,' remain creative and inventive and appropriately
intimidating."
