For newer file types, like Divx. Some only play
DVDs and CDs!! Why is it the major mfgs. (re: costlier)
refuse to support they myriad file types that cheap
decks from China and Korea do?
My $1500 Sony plays DVDs, CDs, DVD-Rs (some) and CD-R/video CDs.
But thats it. My el cheapo $50 Cyberhome CH-300 plays jpegs and other
files the Sony will not support. Do name brand mfgs consider "other
files" evil?

Hint: Sony owns a major movie studio. So, the answer is "yes".
