Still not as bad as the type that thought Hitch was a good movie.

Fay had done some comments on KING KONG a few years back that Turner
Classic Movies occasionally plays as interstitial material. I imagine that it
was part of a longer interview/conversation, possibly done with the idea of
eventually using it for DVD. This is speculation on my part, but some similar
footage of Maureen O'Hara that TCM uses as interstitial material appears as part
of a larger feature on Warner's DVD of THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME.

So even if Fay didn't do a commentary per se, there's likely to be something
with her as an extra feature on the DVD.

Ah that's good to know. I haven't seen Fay's filler material yet but
I have seen other stars represented in those filler shorts, and I know
Turner has been quite active in interviewing Classic actors.

I thought it was pretty good. Not great, but worth a viewing.

(radio is terrific!)

I don't see every movie as having to be GREAT... just entertaining. And then
I don't see every movie for the same reason... I wanted to see I Robot for
the integration of effects with the live-action, not because of the great
story-telling.

Comments like that, while sound all educated and clever, have no
meaning. Shakespeare wasn't supposed to be "Shakespeare." Shakespeare
was a mass-market artist who just knew how to tell a good story and paid
attention to plot. Something almost no one today can do, and I mean
even in the so called "serious" movies.
