I have an LG CD burner and it has been extremely dependable. No coasters ever. So I imagine that LG does a good job on their DVD burners. LG was also the unit Dell put in its machines, although I do not know if they still do. -- Map of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy http://home.houston.rr.com/rkba/vrwc.html "The possession of arms is the distinction between a free man and a slave." -- Andrew Fletcher, Discourse on Government (1695) Bob |

You know, I have the Lite-On and it is excellent...I had one of the first
Sony DVD burners and it died on me three times. <Spam snipped>
Amazing how spammers answer your question by sending shite! Anyway, Pioneer seems to be the most favoured on the group although I'd say it does'nt really matter as long as the burner you get does the job you want it to. Some cheaper burners might not work so good with the cheap discs (or the discs won't work in your TV DVD Player) if making back-ups. The Wizard |

My NEC ND-3520A is awesome. It hasn't made a coaster yet. Newegg.com has them for pretty cheap, plus is does all available media except DVD-RAM. docdude316 |
