How come the store bought versions of series like ST: VOY has four 42
minutes episodes on each DVD and Stargate SG1 has 4-5 42 minutes episodes on each DVD, butr when I capture an hour program from VHS, edit out the commercials to approximately 40 minutes of content, the MPEG2 file is almost 2G, which will only allow me 2 episodes per DVD? Joe Cool |

You need to recode it at a lower quality in order to fit more episodes
on a single disc. The capture software Ia m using, Pinnacle Studio 9 Plus, has three capture qualities, good, better and best. Hell, I've never seen blanks for them at the store, are those available only for comericial DVD mastering houses? Joe Cool |

Commercial releases arent burned anyway, they are pressed...You can buy
recordable DL(dual layer) just about anywhere these days for a DL capable burner, which many are now. And you can revel in how the premium dual layer recordables only work in less than half the stand alone players. I even wrote one that would not read back on the writer itself! It is a worthless medium doomed to failure. Alpha |

As is the cost to burn runs SL backup disc Blank .50-$1.00 Borrowed or Rented disc 3.99 (maybe more but if netflix way cheaper) DVDShrink Free (If you want the Movie to be uncompressed can reauthor movie only) Will play on most players & you have a copy for tween $.50-$5 max DL Backup disc Blank $9 -$11 Rented disc 3.99 Currently iffy to play on many systems and not all DL burners can do both +/_ DL's (Since New Movies pressed run $14.99-$20 its not a value at this time to burn DL IMHO) Bratboy |

Why do you have a rental disk price in there? Making copies of disks you do
not own is in no way right or legal. In fact, only lowly scum even consider it.
