I converted and burned a Divx file to DVD using
NERO. It tripped something in my DVD player, I got an error message, the player stated it couldn't play the disc and when I ran the player diagnostic using the disc, it failed on CLV testing. I processed and burned another but at 4x instead of 8x, just in case there had been a media burn error. Same result with the new disc. I then used WinDVD to convert the Divx file to DVD files, then I let NERO do the rest and burn it, that disc worked fine. I wonder why? -Rich RichA |

I replied to you before on this. You need to collect the "assets" DVD-ready mpegs2s, then author and burn in a proper program such as TmpegDVDauthor. ... steve . Steve(JazzHunter) |

Does Tmpeg do it's own burning, or does it "turn on" NERO like other programs do when it comes time to burn? -Rich RichA |

You're half right. Nero itself is just a optical media burning program (although it has a few extras like copying optical media and ripping audio tracks from CD-Audio discs), but any Nero license also includes a license for NeroVision Express, which is a DVD authoring program. You can now argue about whether NeroVision Express is a *good* DVD authoring program. -- Jeff Rife | Coach: How's life, Norm? | | Norm: Not for the squeamish, Coach. Jeff Rife |
