Today, DVD Verdict posted reviews of BRINGING UP BABY, BUDO: THE ART OF
KILLING, CLONUS, THE INCREDIBLES, LITTLE LORD FAUNTLEROY, NATIONAL
LAMPOON'S GOLD DIGGERS: UNRATED EDITION, ORGAZMO: UNRATED SPECIAL
EDITION, THE SAME RIVER TWICE, SWIMMY AND MORE CLASSIC LEO LIONNI
STORIES, and VIDA BLUE WITH THE SPAM ALLSTARS: LIVE AT THE FILLMORE:

BRINGING UP BABY (reviewed by Diane Wild, overall score 98/100):
"Bringing Up Baby is a sublime convergence of greatness: Two of the best
actors, teaming with one of the best directors, in one of the most
entertaining scripts of one of the greatest eras of Hollywood cinema."

BUDO: THE ART OF KILLING (reviewed by Adam Arseneau, overall
score 77/100):
"If you have ever considered moving to Japan, shaving your head, tending
a rock garden, and punching a wooden training block until you shatter
your hand and your knuckles bleed, then Budo: The Art Of Killing is the
film to watch on the long flight over."

CLONUS (reviewed by David Johnson, overall score 83/100):
"Clonus is pretty good, but if you're going in expecting a horror flick
you won't leave satiated. It's more like a political mystery/chase film/sci-
fi/expanded Twilight Zone episode/cautionary tale/social commentary
cocktail."

FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/clonus.php

THE INCREDIBLES (reviewed by a panel, overall score 100/100):
"It's hard to imagine Bird and the bitmap mavens of Pixar topping this
terrific treat -- but everyone said the same thing about his The Iron
Giant and their Finding Nemo. It's frightening to think that, perhaps,
neither entity has truly yet reached its pinnacle. But one thing is
certain: The Incredibles does sit atop of the animation pyramid as one
of the greatest offerings the art form can produce."

FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/incredibles.php

LITTLE LORD FAUNTLEROY (reviewed by Steve Evans, overall score 81/100):
"Silent films are an acquired taste, but one worth cultivating. The best
films from this era boast wildly creative invention, executed with
techniques that literally had never been done before. Some of these
films are positively hypnotic."

NATIONAL LAMPOON'S GOLD DIGGERS: UNRATED EDITION (reviewed by Mitchell
Hattaway, overall score 45/100):
"I'm sorry, but I don't find horny old women in lingerie to be funny,
nor do I find it funny when those same horny old women start farting, or
when they simulate fellatio on corndogs. I also don't think young guys
squirming over having to sleep with horny, farting old women is
automatically funny, nor do I think crazy old men who still wear their
World War II uniforms and scream about Nazis are funny (except for that
guy on Soap, of course)."

ORGAZMO: UNRATED SPECIAL EDITION (reviewed by Patrick Naugle, overall
score 84/100):
"I laughed. Yes, I laughed and laughed and laughed. And when I was
done laughing, I was slightly embarrassed; I'd just spent an hour and
a half enjoying men with dildos stuck to their heads. My mother would
be so proud."

THE SAME RIVER TWICE (reviewed by Joe Armenio, overall score 82/100):
"The movie's focus on the theme of aging and its quiet style give it a
gentle, melancholy feel. It has frequent moments of poignance but is
often frustrating too; there were plenty of times when I wished Moss
would push harder, ask more difficult and penetrating questions, delve
deeper into context."

SWIMMY AND MORE CLASSIC LEO LIONNI STORIES (reviewed by David Johnson,
overall score 85/100):
"While I attended grad school I worked in a preschool with three-year-
olds. They loved Lionni, which is a testament to the staying power of
the author, whose stories on this disc date as far back as 1967."

VIDA BLUE WITH THE SPAM ALLSTARS: LIVE AT THE FILLMORE (reviewed by Adam
Arseneau, overall score 92/100):
"Jazzy, funky, and astonishingly talented, Vida Blue With The Spam
Allstars simply blows down the house. These guys are good, and I mean
really, really, really good. They perform with such relaxed ease that
the entire performance feels like a spontaneous jam session of funk and
jazz, without a single misplaced note."
