Default Is there software that tells what region a DVD is?

I would like to find out what region and encoding many DVDs are. I
know many DVDs that are listed as region 3 or 2 etc are actually not
coded and I was wondering if ther eis any software that I can use on my
computer that will test and tell what the coding is on various DVDs.
Thanks in advance for any info.... Jon

Yes. Open the DVD in DVDdecrypter (which is free), then right click
on any of the files that show up and choose "stream processing."

you could also just load up your DVD player software. If it is not
region 1 (or whatever your dvd player is set to), it will tell you what
region it is and ask you if you want to change the region coding of the
player.
