Blockbuster "you own it now" late fees

I'm wondering if anyone here has had
to keep a DVD yet? Are they charging
the suggested retail price if this
is the case, or is it some discounted
price Blockbuster pays when they buy a
DVD? If the latter, it might be worth
it to keep the thing!!

Well I rarely rent from blockbuster but I remember reading that the
price that they charge you is the price that they would charge you if
you bought the disk from them used. I seem to remember that they
charged 12.99 or 14.99 or something like that for most popular movies.

It depends on how old it is... if Blockbuster has already made the title
available to the general public "Pre Viewed" at the time you rented it, then
that's the price you'd be charged; but if not, you'd be charged the price
of a new one.
