I have two systems, one's an older system with a 750meg
AMD Duron processor, and 384meg of PC100 memory. It's also loaded down with programs. A newer system has an AMD Sempron 2800 (2 gig) processor and 512meg of DDR memory. I used Nero Express to test their speeds and processed a small 30 meg avi file to DVD. The old system took 44 minutes, the new 7 minutes. But, when I went to convert a conventional 700 meg avi to DVD, the newer system didn't seem much faster than the old one, taking about 9 hours to do it. Any idea why the differences in processing for the two different sized files? -Rich RichA |
