CPRM

Is a copy protection system with scramble system regarding the recording of
'copy once'
broadcast programs. CPRM stands for Content Protection for Recordable Media.

The above is part of a brief explanation of CPRM which came in the manual of
my new DVD
recorder.
Basically what this means is that you can copy a movie but can't make a copy
of the copy.

Can anyone shed some more light on this cprm or suggest a forum where this
is discussed?

Mickey.
