Exactly. Some of you guys are just thinking too much about this stuff -
wasn't Netflix supposed to make things *easier* instead of harder?

Just picking up on this discussion 3 years late....

Listen, all you idiots. The Professor has a legitimate question. If he could drop his DVD's off and save 1 day of shipping then let him want to save a day of shipping. The same thought has occurred to me.

To whoever said he might save a 1/2 day of shipping at best: that doesn't make any sense. The postal service only shows up once a day anyway.

And stop telling him to go to Blockbuster. Blockbuster sucks. If you are a simpleton and only watch mainstream movies, then Blockbuster is fine. But BB doesn't have any selection. If you want anything other than something like Dukes of Hazard, then BB will take 11 months to send it to you, if they even have it. And something tells me that The Professor has a much bigger brain than the rest of you.

And besides, having a drop box at Netflix wouldn't have to cause them any extra work. You could drive up, drop the dvd in a slot, and drive away. That way Netflix saves money on shipping, and the customer gets his dvd overnight instead of in 2 days.

So, don't judge him for having a good question. And, if you don't have an answer for him: ZIP IT.
