Default Another newbie question

Reinhart, are you out there? I've tried e-mailing you directly, instead of
posting to the group, but my e-mails always bounce. I wanted to thank you
for the detailed replies to my newbie questions about DVD players. I had no
idea there were so many differences in the guts of these machines,
especially in terms of the quality of the motors and other parts. Based in
large part on your comments, I'm probably going to buy the JVC XV-N310B.

Just curious, though, about your thoughts about lower-end models from
Samsung, Magnavox, Philips, and GoVideo. I've seen good sale prices on
these, so I was wondering if they are in the same class (reliability-wise)
as JVC, or if they are closer to the junk stuff.

Anyone else please feel free to offer your opinions as well.

Thanks again.

JEP

I have a seperate screen name for usenet purposes so my regular e-mail doesn't
get bombarded with spam.

Sorry about that.

Hard to say. Philips and Samsung are probably the only good ones on your list,
though I would still tend to avoid them.

Reliability-wise, the JVC is likely going to be better than all of the above.

Thank you again, and have safe and happy holidays. - Reinhart
