Default It is Star Wars Cannon....

It is Star Wars Cannon that Chewbacca has a son named Lumpy, who enjoys
watching holographic Jefferson Starship music videos.
It is one of the strangest things I've ever seen, nonetheless, it is Star
Wars Cannon.
Anyone else seen the 1978 SW Holiday Special?
It's so gosh-awful, Carrie Fisher even sings the lyrics to the Star Wars
theme.
Lucas should have included this in the upcoming SW Trilogy box, lol!

I think GL's decided to completely ignore the Holiday Special. Though as
bad as it was, I kind of liked the idea of Chewy being a family man.

No, Lumpy, whose actual name is Lumpawarump, is EU.

This is a Star Wars Cannon:

I believe what you want to know is whether the Holiday Special is canon.

I have the book "Star Wars Chronicles" and it actually devotes a few pages
to the Holiday Special, rather surprising!

Lumpawarrump and Mallatobuck are Deutercanonical, like Heater (Some would
argue Cammie, Deak, Fixer and Windy fall into this as well. Since Biggs
actually appears in the movies, he is canon)

The Wookiee Storybook, that's tertiary canon.

It's a Thanksgiving Tradition here at Chez Mudd. But we all remember the
70s too.

I'd sell body parts to have a good, clean copy of this.
DragQueen!Luke lends himself to a lot of photomanip possibilities.

-> Boba Fett first appeared in The Holiday Special

It is no secret (nor should it come as any surprise) that humankind's most noble impulses often surface during the most tyring of times, that human spirit rises to the challenge when faced with adversity, that human strength is born from human failings...Is it any wonder, then, that the SDF-1 crew became a tighter family after the fortress had been exiled than it had been before?

It's Star Wars canon that the "fans" will:

1. Deride and condemn Lucas for producing director's cuts of the original
trilogy

2. Complain loud and long how unfair it is that directors of their *other*
favourite movies won't provide director's cuts.

Although on the deluxe Star Wars laserdisc box-set (non-SE), there's a
tour of the Lucas archives, which includes the mask of Chewie's son,
probably the only official mention you'll find on a video release of SW.

swac
Why couldn't they just include the Boba Fett animation as a bonus
somewhere? Or maybe a few toy commercials?
