Today, DVD Verdict posted reviews of CHRIS ISAAK: BAJA SESSIONS, FIRST
STEPS ON MARS, METAL MUNCHING MANIACS: 2003 NATIONALS, MORITURI, PABLO
FRANCISCO: BITS AND PIECES, and UPSTAIRS, DOWNSTAIRS: THE COMPLETE FIRST
AND SECOND SEASONS:

CHRIS ISAAK: BAJA SESSIONS (reviewed by Brett Cullum, overall
score 85/100):
"I always found it comforting to see such a good-looking guy singing
about how much pain he is in -- the heartbreaker singing songs of
heartbreak. "

FIRST STEPS ON MARS (reviewed by David Ryan, overall score 85/100):
"First Steps on Mars strikes a nice balance with respect to its level of
technicality: It's not so technical that the average person cannot
understand it, but not so simplistic that it seems targeted at
kindergarteners."

METAL MUNCHING MANIACS: 2003 NATIONALS (reviewed by David Johnson,
overall score 78/100):
"If you're a fan of this type of sport, you'll get your fill. No
annoying color commentary, no pyrotechnics, no porn-star filed reporters
with chests just as synthetic as the dueling combatants, just an open
space and some enraged metal."

MORITURI (reviewed by George Hatch, overall score 93/100):
"Fox is promoting Morituri as part of their 'War Classics' collection,
but the film has a lot more going for it. As an unpredictable and
suspenseful cat-and-mouse game, allegiances form and fracture,
psychological power plays are constantly undermined, paranoia runs
rampant, and pressure mounts as time runs out."

PABLO FRANCISCO: BITS AND PIECES (reviewed by David Johnson, overall
score 88/100):
"Though he had substantially funny jokes, many of the laughs came as a
result of his physical humor and voice work. He utilizes a limited
number of voices -- a universal 'girl' voice and a universal 'old guy'
voice are apparently his favorites -- but does them so well, and knows
when to hit the audience with 'em, they didn't grow tiresome."

UPSTAIRS, DOWNSTAIRS: THE COMPLETE FIRST AND SECOND SEASONS (reviewed by
Mike Pinsky, overall score 85/100):
"Welcome to Edwardian London, where having a good name is paramount."
