Today, DVD Verdict posted reviews of FAR FROM HOME, GODZILLA: THE
SERIES: THE MONSTER WARS TRILOGY, HEAD ABOVE WATER, IT TAKES A THIEF,
THE LAST WARRIOR, MY LIFE WITHOUT ME, THE RED SKELTON COLLECTION, ROCK
MY WORLD, SEARCHING FOR DEBRA WINGER, TOO HOT TO HANDLE, and WHAT
PRICE GLORY:

FAR FROM HOME (reviewed by David Ryan, overall score 60/100):
"Far From Home: Come for the underage T&A. Stay for the
trailer trash."

GODZILLA: THE SERIES: THE MONSTER WARS TRILOGY (reviewed by Dennis
Prince, overall score 56/100):
"You could say Godzilla: The Series is dramatically superior to
Godzilla: The Movie and nowhere would an eyebrow be raised in retort. As
Saturday morning fare goes, this series showed some promise but, as this
three-episode DVD betrays, the plotlines were doomed to formulaic
framework."

HEAD ABOVE WATER (reviewed by Dennis Prince, overall score 56/100):
"If you find yourself with a lazy, maybe rainy afternoon with nothing
else to do, Head Above Water may help you navigate away from the onset
of sheer boredom. Enjoy the scenery on hand and think hard about the
other pictures these fine actors have done, then pop any one of those in
the DVD player for a much better use of your time."

IT TAKES A THIEF (reviewed by Paul Corupe, overall score 46/100):
"The crosses, double crosses, and mad scramble for the golden fleece
only serve to remind the viewer of other, better films that appeared a
good decade before It Takes a Thief, films that could have been watched
instead of this one."

THE LAST WARRIOR (reviewed by Erick Harper, overall score 68/100):
"World War II, the defining event of the 20th century, reduced to a
clash of cultures and two guys playing cat and mouse on an island in
the middle of nowhere, a sort of Enemy Mine in the South Pacific, only
without the friendly parts. The script is lackluster, the acting
nothing special."

MY LIFE WITHOUT ME (reviewed by Diane Wild, overall score 60/100):
"My Life Without Me has most of the ingredients of a great film --
wonderful acting, appealing direction, and an interesting and worthy
story. Unfortunately, the script doesn't have the emotional truth needed
to hold it together."

FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/mylifewithoutme.php

THE RED SKELTON COLLECTION (reviewed by George Hatch, overall
score 60/100):
"Red Skelton was the second greatest pantomime artist -- right behind
Marcel Marceau -- and there was both humor and pathos in his
performances. He excelled at slapstick, and had the best timing when
delivering the punch line of a joke. He created a half-dozen memorable
characters that often winked and made funny, out-of-context asides to
the audience, and no one topped him at ad-libbing."

ROCK MY WORLD (reviewed by David Ryan, overall score 35/100):
"I'm not kidding here -- I'm actually angry at this film, and the people
who made it (especially the writer). Why? Because there was so much
potential in this film -- all of which is utterly wasted -- that
watching it is akin to watching a large diarrheal cow poop all over
Botticelli's Madonna of the Pomegranate."

FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/rockmyworld.php

SEARCHING FOR DEBRA WINGER (reviewed by Diane Wild, overall score
20/100):
"Though Arquette begins the film by musing about the difficulties of
balancing career and family, the fatal flaw of the film is that there is
no actual thesis. It rambles on with no shape until it just stops and
the credits roll."

TOO HOT TO HANDLE (reviewed by Paul Corupe, overall score 61/100):
"An engaging plot, a talented cast, and some top notch talent behind the
camera lift this picture from the b-film doldrums, making it more than
just what it is advertised here as: a showcase for blonde bombshell
Jayne Mansfield."

WHAT PRICE GLORY (reviewed by Erick Harper, overall score 55/100):
"Imagine what Hogan's Heroes would have been if Colonel Hogan had been
a drunken, abusive martinet. Imagine a Marx Brothers comedy like Duck
Soup where the Marx Brothers have been replaced by a swaggering
Napoleon clone."
