have a toshiba sd r 2312 dvd rom/ cd-/+ rw
drive that came with my HP Ze 4230 pavilion computer. am interested in learning to copy some dvd's. can anyone suggest a freeware, freeware at the moment before i go out of pocket, if any exists that can assist me in doing this? i understand some software can copy dvd via cd r onto, say, two (2) cd r/ rw disks. i tried dvd ripnburn software looks good, and easy, but it is not reading my dvd player. within dvd rip and burn, dvd rip n burn pop up window says i need a dvd player or encoder. i have several dvd players installed. intervideo win dvd 4, media player 9.0, real player. etc. perhaps i have done something amiss with instalation of dvd ripnburn, but i do not think so, tho i am open to suggestions. .. any help would be greatly appreciated. detailed step by step detail, please, as i an a newby in all this, i am about six- nine months away from purchasing a new notebook which i expect i will get with a dvd rw -/+ drive. robert in gozo. You can convert a DVD into a so called SVCD. For a film with ~90 min. lenght 2 CDR's should do fine, for longer films you might want to use 3 CDR's. Hans Schlager |
