So I want to begin transferring my LD's onto DVD. I have access to DVD
burners in a computer lab with S-vid, composite & L&R audio inputs. At the moment I have an old CLD-S104, which does a decent job with the discs, but I don't want a poor quality transfer to DVD. Who can offer me advice? Thanks, Penguin Sunstreaking Penguin |

Later, when s-video was introduced, they added it to the LD players for compatibility, but the signal is still recorded as composite. What you need to do is determine which device does a better job of converting composite to s-video (the LD player or the device you are recording on). I use a Sony camcorder as my digital converter. I get a better picture if I use the composite cable rather that the s-video. You will need to do a test to see which if better in your case. xeaglecrest@worldnet.att.net |
