I can't believe that this movie has not been released as a special edition.
All the old classics including On the Waterfront have been released as a
regular release or SE.
Most if not ALL the cast and crew are still alive. So, there's
absolutely NO REASON they all can't get together and do separate
commentaries for this film.
They touch on some of the production in the movie Easy Riders/Raging
Bulls. They interviewd David Newman. Benton is still alive.
What the hell are they waiting for??????????????????????????????

Hear hear. I've been wondering this same thing myself. B&C is a masterpiece
(even if it was beaten out for the Best Picture of 1967 Oscar by the
dreadful In the Heat of the Night).
