Abbott & Costello Vol. 3 (possible problem)

Just picked this up today, noticed something that I thought was a bit odd with
the discs. The center-ring on each disc was not glued together, the top layer
and the bottom layer had space between them. I could slide a slip of paper
between the layers.

Is this anything to worry about, does anyone know? I'm considering exchanging
the set for a different one, but I don't know if that's over-reacting. I read
something about how so-called 'dvd rot' is thought to maybe be caused by the
two layers of a disc not being glued together.

thanks for any comments
