DVD Video - Ken Burns Effect

Default Ken Burns Effect


I was wondering if anyone could recommend software that is good for the
'Ken Burns Effect' ie moving image.

You can do that in Premiere, and probably other full-featured editors, but
my favorite app for this function is "Imaginate" from Canopus. I refer to it
as "Ken Burns in a Box."

It's also pretty common in slide show builders.

I think it was originally done on Adobe After-Effects - which I think is
almost cheap enough for consumers right now.

Panning/zooming a "virtual camera" around a still image. Or a real one. When
you make a film that relies heavily on showing archival images from stills,
keeping the camera moving is very important in keeping your work from
looking like a narrated slide show.

The thing where he shows a still photograph and slowly pans across it, or
zooms in or out, etc.

Newer editions of most software allows the user to add pretentious David
McCullough narration to the panned still image while a piano tinkles
"Battle Cry of Freedom" in the background.

My suggestion:
Try this Photo2DVD software, it can burn your photo slide show onto
DVDs, and with many transition effects, including "Ken Burns" perfectly!
