I bought Carnal Knowledge from DDDVD. It was shrink-wrapped and sealed
with one of those edge labels, but inside the case was the 1999 remake of The Thomas Crown Affair starring Pierce Brosnan. Has anyone here ever had something like that happen to them? -- Buford T. Justice The alt.video.dvd faq is located at: http://aww-faq.org/dvdfaq.html FAQmeister |

I bought Monty Python's "Meaning of Life" when it was first released. The case said "Meaning of Life", the disc's printed label said "Meaning of Life", but the feature on the disc was "8mm". Couple years ago I bought what was, according to the case, the classic Gary Cooper High Noon (the edition before the current one). Believe it or not, what was inside was indeed High Noon, but a remake with, if memory serves, Tom Skerritt. karlpov |

In one of our regular deliveries the CD in the case wasn't a library package but instead it was The Monkees Greatest Hits. Jay Stewart |

People would often order things from the store web site but return them at the store if there was a problem. Somebody bought Splash. They thought it was the Ron Howard/Tom Hanks mermaid story, but it was actually soft-core gay porn. We couldn't stop laughing. Now that Splash is out on DVD I wonder if this lady has the nerve to order it again? -- "If you examined a hundred people who had lost their faith in Christianity, I wonder how many of them would turn out to have reasoned out of it by honest argument? OMG, yes! I ordered the 2-disc set of the Special Edition of The Ten Commandments (also shrink-wrapped and sealed) and ended up with two part 2 discs. Maverick Dude |
