New DVD Player

I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a new DVD player
My panasonic has died (unfortunately) but it was a good player.

Anyone know anything about the Panasonic-S27 (I believe thats the right
code). Looks like a decent machine.
I don't need many features. Basic functions
plus zoom would be nice
S-video and component video
Region 1
Jpg viewer, CD player, MP3 is nice

Suggestions ?

I have tried several of the current model players. I favored
the features of the S27 highest, but unfortunately for me,
the S27 does not want to play DVD-R recorded on Ritek media.

I tested this player, it plays Ritek just fine. In fact, I couldn't find one
it wouldn't play. If the DVD it authored and burned right, it will play
them.

I recommend Sony, Pioneer, Panasonic, and JVC players only.
