Default Tale of two sisters - Thai DVD release?

Anybody knows somethong about quality of Thai DVD release of "Tale of
two sisters"?
I am interested in this release because it is cheap and have deleted
scenes and some making of ...

But, what is quality of picture? I hope it is not bad transfer like
Thai DVD release of "The Eye" which have jerky playback obviously due
to bad conversion from NTSC to PAL ...

I wouldn't bother. The last time I ordered a disc from Thailand, it wouldn't
work because their "video cd" standard is completely different than the
official worldwide "vcd" standard even though it had the official worldwide
video cd logo on it. And it was a leguitimate release and not a pirate
release.

I know you asked about dvd but you might get a dvd that doesn't play on a dvd
player even though it has the official dvd logo on it.

Anyways, the video cd was advertised as being in ntsc. It wouldn't play at all
in my cd-i player which is made to play "all video cd no matter where in the
world they are released".

My dvd player played it but the disc was in pal format which my dvd player
couldn't play in ntsc (even though the disc said it was ntsc).

The disc would not play on my computer at all. The computer did not even
recognize it as any type of disc at all, even though my computer recognizes
every other video cd I have as a video cd.

The disc did play on a couple of dvd players that could handle pal to ntsc
conversion.

I hope that will not happen... this is my second DVD order - first was
"The Eye" DVD which worked fine but it was crapy encoded...

then you're probably okay as far as it working goes. If it's already worked for
you.

you;ll probably get a disc that plays with the same kind of "crappy encoding"
you had before.

or maybe it might be encoded better.

I never ordered dvd discs from there myself. It was video cd discs I had tried,
which I had problems with, in more way than one.

Who knows ... we'll see when I get it. This is from different company
so I hope they'll do the job better. I can live with lower picture
quality (for such a low price) bu tI can' tstand jerky playback due to
bad NTSC to PAL encodimg (if they used NTSC material as soruce for
their PAL release and do the inferior job)
