Default NTSC/PAL playback

If I send a NTSC DVD to someone whose setup is PAL, what will he see?
Anything?

TIA

Most of the new equipment (TVs, VCRs) in PAL countries, and virtually all
DVD players, can handle NTSC.

If they watch it on an old TV (less than 50Hz?) they will get vertical roll.
If their TV was bought in the past 10 years there shouldn't be a problem.
