im trying to import video that i recorded onto a dvd+rw with
a sony rdr-gx7 and the mastering programs i use, like tmpgenc
dvd author dont like reading the disk directly and i hafto copy
the dvd to the hard disk first. is this normal? why do i hafto
do this extra step? its my guess the sony deck isnt 'finalizing
vobs' but just finalizing the disk...

i guess even if im not going to edit the disk i should copy
the vobs/ifos to the hard disk before burning them (with rip progs)

does sony have any clue about whats making it do this?
