Default Ed Wood Special Edition: Hopefully This is Erroneous

After being absent completely for a few days, "Ed Wood-Special Edition" is
listed at Amazon.com's U.S. site once more--with the release date, under
"Product Details," showing as January 1, 2010. I'm assuming that this is a
computerized default date currently displaying in error--but considering the
problems getting this title released to the U.S. market, I'm wondering if
the actual release date may end up being sometime in 2020. : )

Yeah.

And to really drive the point home, both Best Buy and Circuit City
featured _Ed Wood_ (complete with studio photo) in the
new-release-Tuesday section of their Sunday paper ads.

Yeah, the ads are printed a couple weeks in advance, which is OK, because it's
rare that a DVD is delayed 11 days before it's scheduled release date.

Don't know why, but 2010 seems to be Amazon's default date to post if they've
got no earthly clue when the title's being released. I remember seeing it many
times before. According to Digital Bits, Amazon Canada has Ed Wood listed now
for April 2004. Though I don't believe it, the possibility of that being true
is enough to keep me from shelling out the big bucks on Ebay.

Perhaps it was decided to double feature it with Spielberg's "The Duel".

I'm sure this has been covered before but can anyone say _why_ the
original release got pulled (after having been pressed and
distributed) and what has caused the cancellation/postponement this
time around??

tks

Notice that they say to leave your e-mail address to vote for the release and to be
notified when it is available?

Notice that the form for entering that information is missing from the page?

No - I didn't notice - I didn't look. My question was (and remains)
whether anyone here knows _why_ Ed Wood has been pulled twice, and I'm
trying to work out how this reply answers the question
