DVD Video - the haunting (1960's) dvd question

Default the haunting (1960's) dvd question


does anyone know why warner bros released this in a 1:85 ratio when its
original ratio was a 2:35:1 (at least the older laserdisc version got that
right)

Um, it is 2:35:1 Anamorphic.

the DVD is 2.35:1 anamorphic - don't know where you got 1.85:1 from

Ummm...because they didn't?

A more appropriate question would be what makes you think
that Warner's DVD is 1.85?

just going by info that was listed for the dvd version off the imdb.com

Forget about using the IMDb as a source for DVD information,
unless you have another, independent corroborating source.
