DVD Video - Problem with Pioneer DV-C603

I hope I'm posting in the right place and someone may be able to help me.
I've searched and searched for a solution to the problem to no avail.

The problem is at first the DVD Player does not open the tray and stay open
and the BIGGEST problem is that there is an exclamation point on the
screenevery time I play a DVD or VCD or anything orinigal or backup - no
matter. I know it's coming from the DVD because it will do it on any TV.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
