I was reading in the bathroom when I ran across an item written by

I went to eight stores, yesterday (in two states), and everyone said it had been ordered but hadn't arrived yet. This included two FYEs, one Best Buy, two Walmarts, two Borders and a Barnes and Noble. This seems to happen every now and then, and I get ****ed off about it every time. Granted, I live in a smaller market area (the corner where New York, Vermont and Quebec meet), but this isn't that well-known a movie, either; I can't believe it's some sort of triage problem. ------------- Beady's 11th Law of Social Harmonics: "Your spouse is precisely the kind of person someone like you would choose to marry." Ack! Glad I bought through Amazon then. Best of luck! Raul Bloodworth |

Tuesday, I was at the Best Buy in Newington, NH. Of this week's six Warner "viewer's poll" releases, they only two of them: the DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE double-feature and WHERE THE BOYS ARE. Last night, I stopped at the BB in Nashua, NH, and they were missing JEKYLL & HYDE and GOODBYE, MR. CHIPS, but had the other four. There usually isn't this much disparity among the local Best Buys. -- jayembee jayembee |

Think my favorite scene is at the shooting range with TR, Alice, and Quentin. TR is shooting at drawings of the Czar & Kaiser while a military band in a nearby gazebo is gently playing "Sweet Betsy from Pike." Raul Bloodworth |

I went in Tuesday with a list of seven titles, including Wind and the Lion. Came out with 2 and no W&L. As of Saturday none of them were available and lots of people were asking why. Apparently they are having lots of distribution problems. All through Christmas they were having lots of problems getting new merchandise. The people in the store were very frustrated about it and blaming a new warehouse system. My first question when a company has continuing problems getting new product is if they are having financial problems. Who knows..... I went to my Best Buy (Spokane, WA) and bought Dr. Jekyll...,
but they did not have Wind and the Lion. Went next door to Borders and found the same thing. They said Wind and the Lion is supposed to be in sometime this week and would hold a copy for me. Who knows! Bob Bohling |
