Hear, hear! Even for actual messages (as opposed to ads for Web sites), it's annoying to read them multiple times in multiple newsgroups. I'd say some around here are simply too anal on the topic, since the person he was responding to is actually a long-time contributor to the newsgroup and shouldn't generally be considered a "spammer". just out of curiosity......what is your definition of a "spammer" and why do
u consider him one?? I guess I dont know the true def of a "spammer" cause I dont consider Writer5 a spammer. I quite enjoy reading his reviews of movies. If u dont like him...or consider him a spammer...dont go to his webpage and ignore all his post....simple as that I think "Jules Dubois" <yet-> wrote in message news:... > On Mon, 29 Dec 2003 03:30:31 GMT, in article > <news:>, Justin wrote: > > > Writer R5 wrote on [29 Dec 2003 03:25:30 GMT]: > >> Here is > >> > >> http://incessant.spammer.com/ > > > > And why oh why can't you crosspost these damn messages? > > What makes you think he cares about your opinion? But it's not spam; it's just something you don't like to read. That doesn't make it spam. A spammer would just post and ignore, and would have some commercial purpose. His website is just essentially a fan site, and if you respond to his posts, he'll talk back to you. Again, he's been posting around here for years. He's just a guy, not a commercial spammer. He started out posting full reviews and other typical usenet commentary, then he made a web page and posted reviews in both places, then he just posted links to the reviews on the web page (so you see, he's saving bandwidth after all). Just because you don't like seeing his posts doesn't mean you need to libel him, so chill. Mike Mike Kohary |
