Bought a pc for daughter for x-mas ..... also bought netgear router wgr614,
wireless usb 2.0Adapter wg111 v2 & a netgear wireless card wg311t (I cant afford the usb port only 4). My machine is hard wired thru on-board intel pro 100 VE to router . Now I set it up rather quickly and got both machines to access internet BUT I don't want that. She will have to access intertnet through my ICS. But When I attempt to set up a network and click on My network places in the start menu all I get is, my websites on MSN ??!!??!!?? So then I go to control panel, click on network connections there is nothing there .... Is there some service that is not turned on possibly? Also while the window is open (also did this from control panel) I clicked on network setup wizard NOTHING happened I mean nothing ..... is like the shortcut goes to nothing So then I put in the Windows cd w/ sp2 and attempt to run the wizard. Again nothing. I am truly puzzeled. WinXP Home sp2 Build 2600 (I believe) 512 ram intel 3.0 ghz ati x700 audigy 4 =?Utf-8?B?QnN0b25taWtlMQ==?= |

They both do the same thing, except the router does it better. Trying to have both active at once leads to problems, as you've discovered. Lem |

The ICS was an after thought .... maybe remove router, send her machine
straight thru mine via the wireless?
