March 2nd brings a few comedies from MGM/UA. The Denzel Washington flick
Carbon Copy (1981) and Martin Short's Clifford will be released for $19.95 each. Both are in pan and scan. Also on that date is the family animation Hamilton Mattress (2001). For car racing fans Image will release Best Motoring: Porsche 996 Turbo, Best Motoring: Roaring VTEC: The Battles At 10,000 RPM and Best Motoring: Type R Legend on February 3rd, each lists at $19.95. The independent award winner No Turning Back (2001) will be released by Warner Brothers on March 9th. It will feature English subtitles and anamorphic video for a retail price of $26.95. Image will release the Alley Sheedy flick featuring the alive number five, Short Circuit on February 3rd. Slated for anamorphic 2.35:1 video and Dolby 5.1 audio the retail price is $14.95. February will bring some horror flicks from Image. On the third there is Freak Show (Box Set) and Dr Sex/Wanda The Sadistic Hypnotist. February 17th has Nightmare In Blood. Following on February 24th is Long Island Cannibal Massacre (1980), They Don't Cut The Grass Anymore and Weasels Rip My Flesh (1979). The box set will have a suggested price of $44.95 while the others will be available for $19.95. Some special interest titles will be released by Image on February 10th. Included are Film About TJ Lavin, Henry Rollins: Live At Luna Park, Laird Hamilton (Box Set) and Street Prophetz. The box set is $24.95 with $19.95 for the rest. They also have Karate: The Hand Of Death due out on February 3rd. Image has Dick Van Dyke Show: Season #3 set for release on February 24th for $69.95. Image also has some musical titles set for release. Global Destination: 1st Stop - Asiana will come out on February 3rd. Albert King: Live In Sweden, Higher Ground: Voices Of Contemporary Music and Hip Hop Immortals on February 10th. War On Wax: Rivalries In Hip Hop hits the street on February 17th and Kings Of Hip Hop: Classic Material on February 24th. For foreign film fans Ventura has Boom, Entre La Tarde Y La Noche (The Magic Tour) and Kaante set for release on March 23rd. All are subtitled in full screen and will retail for $19.95. From Warner Brothers on April 6th: Ancient Evidence Collection for $29.98, Ancient Evidence: Mysteries Of The Old Testament for $9.99 and Lost Prince (2003) in Dolby 5.1 and anamorphic video retail of $19.98. On March 9th they have something for the younger set, Happily Ever After: Fairy Tales For Every Child. For fans of martial arts western television Warner Brothers will release Kung Fu: The Complete 1st Season on February 17th for a list price of $39.98. Image has begun their monthly blitz of release announcements. For the musically inclined there are Giovanni: LIVE From Las Vegas (February 3rd), David Cassidy: Live In Concert and Tom Jones: Live At Cardiff Castle (February 24th for bot) all with Dolby 5.1/DTS audio and anamorphic video retailing at $24.95. Image has ready for release on February 24th some more music including James: Getting Away With It Live and Ministry Of Sound both with Dolby 5.1 and anamorphic video retailing for $19.98. Rounding things out for Image are Freak Show (Box Set), Just 18 and Mystique: Mystical Journeys on February 3rd. On February 24th they have Charley Bowers (2002) and the horror cult flick Weasels Rip My Flesh (1979). Pioneer adds to their selection of anime; Sailor Moon S: Heart Collection II - Signature Series, Trigun 2: Lost Past - Signature Series, Gatekeepers: Volume 2 - Signature Series, Lain: Knights (V.2) - Signature Series, Tenchi Universe Collection II: Tenchi Muyo On Earth 5-7 - Signature Series, and Someday's Dreamers: Lesson 3 - Precious Feelings. Stop by for a complete downloadable information list of all region one DVDs in several formats as well as daily changes. The official list now features 35,574 titles with 402 additions or changes and 266 Pre-Release announcements. The All Titles list has 35,840 titles.
