I'm running out of room on my entertainment center.
Currently I have the following components: TV, analog cable box, VCR, TiVo, DVD player, auxiliary VCR. There is no audio system involved. Audio comes right out of the TV, the old fashioned way. Here's how I have the wires hooked up. Cable box feeds into TiVo. TiVo to VCR. VCR into the TV. Thus, the VCR acts as the nerve center. The DVD player and auxiliary VCR swap out from some "out/in" jacks from the main VCR, so I can view DVDs or perhaps make a dub of a videotape from a another video. In this instance, the VCR gets changed from Channel 3 to "Aux." (TiVo changes channels on the prehistoric analog cable box via some dorky infrared system, rather than a direct input.) All of this has worked very successfully. Except now, I just bought a Philips DVD-R 75 machine. I'm at a loss as to how to add this unit to the overall setup. The instruction manual doesn't seem to have a section explaining how to make all this jibe with my current configuration. Any suggestions on how to make that happen? Much obliged, Brett Brett Bayne |
