In a word: Wow! The package comes in a high grade cardboard slipcase in
which there is the double gatefold that holds the 2 discs plus a trivia
booklet. The whole thing has that classy very 60s illustration you see in
adverts and some cool quotes form the film. It seems that a lot of UK titles
come packaged this way. Together with this, I also received MILLER'S
CROSSING, SAVING PVT RYAN (DTS) and they all come in this nicely textured
cardboard which looks sturdier than the photo-slick but thin cardboard boxes
for Region 1 packages.

The transfer itself is stupendous. Along with Warner/MGM edition of NORTH BY
NORTHWEST, this DVD has the best transfer for a film more than 30 years old.
There is none of the shimmering edge enhancement pain-in-the-ass you see in
a lot of recent releases. And ONCE..WEST is shot with a lot of deep focus
photography which is chockful of minute details. I didn't even use
progressive scan but fed through my Sony Wega TV (the one that doubles the
resolution articially) it looks film like. Colors are solid and well
saturated, no shimmering, no bleeding, no obvious artifacts. Splendid! Wet
dream comes true!

Alex,

does your version of OUATITW has Spanish subtitles, and if it does, where
did buy it from?

César.
