Default 'Sirens' DVD transfer quality?

I posted this a few days ago, but forgot to put a subject heading on
it. Bit daft, but it's such beautiful weather here in the Blue
Mountains of New South Wales, Australia, that the sun went to my
head!
After seeing Tara Fitzgerald in 'I Capture the Castle', I thought I
should try to track down a copy of 'Sirens', in which she appears with
such great distinction.
Until now, I've bought whenever possible only original-ratio movie
transfers, preferably anamorphic for widescreen. But I've got a chance
to buy the Lions Gate full-screen transfer of 'Sirens' at such a
ridiculously cheap price that I'm sorely tempted.
Yes, I know pan-and-scan is bad bad bad. But I don't want a debate on
that. I'm just hoping that someone who has this edition can tell me
what the transfer quality is like. If it's a shoddy transfer, I'll
forget it. I certainly won't buy the Miramax widescreen transfer
though - it's too expensive for a letterbox, non-anamorphic issue.
