Is there a site where one would be able to see which DVDs have had recalls
or that have errors of some sort and can be replaced by the manufacturer?
Universal seems to have a lot of those, but perhaps other companies as well?

That's a partial list of discs with problems, but do you have a list
that answers the OP's question about replacements by manufacturer?

(It doesn't include the Criterion /Magic Flute/, which had left and
right audio tracks reversed; it also omits /Urbania/, which has the
commentary out of sync with the movie by about 6 seconds.)
